Vacaville Approves Development of Lagoon Valley, Citizens Petitioning to Save the Park
Locals are petitioning to keep Lagoon Valley in Vacaville from becoming a golf course, shopping and more homes.
VACAVILLE, CA- The City of Vacaville recently approved development of Lagoon Valley near Pena Adobe that would include housing, a golf course and shopping and many locals are not happy about it.
A group has put together a Change.org petition to the Vacaville City Countil, stating "Lagoon Valley offers hiking paths, duck ponds, a place to hold barbecues, family get togethers, community events and so much more. It is an accessible place people from all walks of life can enjoy. Even though it's just outside of town it offers a bit of an escape."
They say the plans were approved against the wishes of many Vacaville residents, and they're putting up a fight with the support of former Vacaville Mayor Dave Fleming.
Check out why they don't want Lagoon Valley developed here on their Change.org petition.
