Update: Vacaville Fire Crews Battling 4-Alarm Fire on Cook Lane

10:51 p.m. Update: Vacaville Fire crews have gained control of the fire.

10:31 p.m. Original Post: Vacaville firefighters are battling a structure fire at a single-story home at 4795 Cook Lane.

The fire was called in at 9:13 p.m., prompting Vacaville fire crews to respond to the home, not far from the intersection of Cook Lane and Highway 113. The home is located in the Vacaville Fire Protection District.

Firefighters reported seeing heavy black smoke coming from the single family residence upon their arrival; Crews battled to keep the flames from spreading to the garage of the home and a nearby propane tank.

The intensity of the fire prompted firefighters to classify the incident as 4-alarm fire. No trespassing signs posted on the roadway leading to the incident prevented Dixon Patch from reporting further.
