Vacaville Mom Convicted of Sex With Son Seeks Retrial
Michelle Souza was convicted of having sex with her 10-year-old son in January, attorneys say an issue with a juror validates a new trial.
VACAVILLE, CA- Vacaville mother facing life sentence for having a sexual relationship with her 10-year-old son will seek retrial.
Michelle V. Souza, 41, was convicted in January of having sexual intercourse with a child 10 or younger and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child, however, her attorneys have filed for a new trail due to an undisclosed issue concerning a juror in the case according to the Contra Costa Times.
Souza and her boyfriend, Ricky A. Groseclose, 60, were arrested March 5, 2016 after her ex-husband discovered text messages describing the alleged sexual contact.
