Vacaville Police Investigate Possible Murder-Suicide

A man and woman were found fatally shot in a vehicle in Vacaville Tuesday  afternoon in what appears to be a murder-suicide, police said.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Arroyo Court shortly before 3 p.m. on reports of gunshot victims, police said. They found a 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman in a vehicle suffering from fatal gunshot wounds, according to police.

Police cordoned off the normally-quiet court to investigate the incident, drawing neighbors from out of their homes. Neighbors said that they had not heard a gunshots in the area prior to the police presence.

The shooting is under investigation and police said that at this point it appears it may have been a murder and suicide. Police said neither party had a criminal history or contact with the Police Department. Their names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
