Don't be a Statistic!
Did you know that approximately one-third of individuals aged 60 and over will experience a fall annually? 1-in-5 of those falls will result in a serious injury.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to change their daily living activities to help prevent a fall as well as what to do in case they do fall.
Topics will include:
- Why fall prevention matters
- What you can do to lower your risk of slips, trips, and falls
- How to safely get up from a fall
- Exercises to do at home
Fall Risk Assessments will be offered along with practical tips on daily prevention and a Home Safety Checklist!
Who should come:
- Anybody with a fear of falling
- Caregivers
- Anyone concerned about a loved one
