Dublin City Council To Discuss Q2 Budget

DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin City Council will meet Tuesday to review the financial status of Fiscal Year 2024-25 through the second quarter, and consider various budget amendments.

The city currently maintains a $22.6 million operating surplus projected for the fiscal year, according to a city staff report. Revenues are $132.4 million, while expenditures account for $109.78 million. General Fund reserves are expected to decrease by $31.9 million from the prior year, leaving an estimated $258.5 million in reserves by June 30, 2025.

The city is considering a number of budget adjustments, which include funding for contract services, seasonal staffing, and infrastructure projects like improvements at Fallon Sports Park and Iron Horse Nature Park. The council will also consider amendments for other projects, including $75,000 for a solar streetlight pilot program, and $40,000 for tree maintenance in the Stagecoach Landscape Assessment District.
