Dublin Couple Arrested On Suspicion Of Killing SF Strip Club Owner: Police
Richard Lund and Asia Morton were arrested on suspicion of killing Mark Calcagni, the general manager of the Condor Club.
DUBLIN, CA — A Dublin couple was arrested on suspicion of killing Mark Calcagni, their former manager at a San Francisco strip club, Santa Rosa police said Sunday.
Detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Violent Crimes Investigations Team arrested Richard Lund, 43, and Asia Morton, 25, both residents of Dublin. Lund was taken into custody Friday at the 7500 block of St. Patrick Way in Dublin, an apartment complex where he lived with Morton. Morton was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after arriving from an international trip, police said.
On the early morning of Oct. 3, a motorist found Calcagni, 60, lying on a street in Santa Rosa, according to earlier reports. Police arrived and found that he had been shot and killed. He was later identified as the long-time manager of the Condor Club, a strip club in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco widely believed to be the country’s first topless bar. He also held leadership roles at Vanity Nightclub, another North Bay strip club, according to a GoFundMe started in his memory.

Santa Rosa police said they found suspects through witness interviews, video surveillance, and digital evidence. According to police, both Lund and Morton were previously employed at an “adult entertainment venue in San Francisco”, and that Lund fatally shot Calcagni after waiting for him to return home. Police also said that Morton helped Lund plan the attack.
