Menopause is a universal experience for every woman who lives long enough, yet it’s often overlooked, misunderstood, or even dismissed. That’s why the recent screening of The M Factor documentary at the Dublin Library, held in honor of Women’s History Month, was such an engaging and necessary event.

Unlike traditional health talks, this screening wasn’t just about delivering information—it was about building community, sparking conversations, and making sure everyone had a seat at the table. To ensure inclusivity, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters Apryl Chauhan and Michelle Okamoto were present, making it possible for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing attendees to fully engage in the discussion.

The M Factor documentary, is an eye-opening film that delves into the realities of menopause. Featuring expert insights and personal stories, the documentary sheds light on the medical, social, and emotional challenges surrounding this natural transition. The documentary directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jacoba Atlas, shares intimate and thought-provoking stories of women navigating the multifaceted experience of menopause. and is backed by a team of acclaimed executive producers, including Emmy Award-winning journalist Tamsen Fadal, Denise Pines, and Emmy Award-winning Joanne LaMarca Mathisen. Fadal has also just released her book 'How to Menopause' and will be visiting San Francisco over the weekend as part of her book tour.
