Dublin Police Increasing Holiday Patrols
Police are deploying extra staff to target common holiday crimes, like theft and shoplifting. They also provided tips on staying safe.
DUBLIN, CA — The rise in retail activity around the holidays can also lead to increased retail crime. Dublin Police Services announced that it will deploy extra staff to highly-traveled commercial areas to conduct a Holiday Crime Suppression Detail.
Extra staff will be present in marked and unmarked patrol vehicles, as well as on foot patrol and bicycles. Staff will be on the lookout for common crime trends during the holidays, and for anyone driving under the influence.
Police offered numerous safety tips to avoid theft, including parking in a well-lit area near the the shops, not leaving packages or valuables in plain view in the car, and many more. See herefor a full list of suggestions.
