Dublin Police Receive $24.8K Grant For Crash Reporting
The department will receive a new electronic crash and citation data reporting system.
DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin Police Services received a $24,800 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety for a new electronic crash and citation data reporting system. The new system will allow faster and more efficient reporting.
“Thanks to this grant, we're upgrading our traffic crash and citation reporting system to further a data-driven strategy that concentrates on high-priority traffic resource areas,” DPS Captain Miguel Campos said in a statement. “Improved reporting of crashes helps inform where we conduct education and enforcement measures, enhancing safety on our community's roads.”
The grant runs through September 2025. Last year, the department received $81,000 to increase traffic patrols, and initiatives like DUI checkpoints, enforcements for dangerous driving, and officer certification and recertifications.
