DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin Unified School District will welcome more than 2,000 students to its sprawling new Emerald High School this fall, marking a major milestone for the state-of-the-art educational project.

The San Francisco Chronicle got a look inside the school this month, touring the 23.5-acre site, complete with a massive library, lecture hall and multi-story academic tower, designed to meet a growing student population's academic needs well into the future.

According to the Chronicle, Dublin is one of the Bay Area's few growing school districts, bolstered by its status as the Golden State's fastest-growing city over the last decade. Emerald High is Alameda County's first new high school in 50 years, and school leaders expect it to "last for the next century," the newspaper reported.
