Dublin Pride Week Registration Open
From April 26 to May 3, the city will host a Volunteer Day, Compost Giveaway, a food bank drive, and more.
DUBLIN, CA — Dubliners are invited to give back to their community by registering for Dublin Pride Week, which will feature a number of volunteer events, drives, and celebrations April 26 to May 3.
The cornerstone of Pride Week is Dublin Pride Volunteer Day, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 26. Dubliners of all ages (though anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult), are welcome to take part in several volunteer projects around town, including:
- City Beautification Projects
- Creek and trail cleanups
- Dublin Unified School District projects
Volunteer Day lasts 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers will receive a light breakfast and tools necessary for their projects. After the projects are complete, volunteers will be treated to a community barbecue lunch at Emerald Glen Park, and a complimentary pass to The Wave for the 2024 Waterpark season.

- Compost Giveaway: Dublin residents can take home one bag of free compost from 8-12 at Emerald Glen Park. The compost is made from Dublin residents’ yard trimmings and food scraps.
- Prescription Drug Take-Back/Document Shredding/E-Waste Collection: Residents can bring prescription pills, tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs to the Drug Take-Back event, which will take place from 10-2 at the Dublin Civic Center. Residents can also bring old documents until 1 p.m., and electronic waste.
On May 3, the Zeiss Innovation Center will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 5300 Central Parkway by appointment only. Check your mailbox for more information.
The whole week, residents are encouraged to donate food to the Children’s Emergency Food Bank. Donations receptacles are located at the Dublin Library, Civic Center, Shannon Community Center, and The Wave.
