Customers of Xfinity by Comcast were impacted amid network improvement efforts. Find out what to expect.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin customers of Xfinity by Comcast experienced an internet outage Tuesday as workers installed necessary upgrades, according to the company.

A Comcast robocall notified local customers Monday that "a brief service interruption" was possible from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Comcast apologized for the inconvenience amid a time when more people are spending time at home.

Comcast said it will be looking to expand services in some areas, as its services are being used more than ever and construction work was needed.

"We'll do our best to make this interruption as short as possible, as it will affect all of your Xfinity services," including Xfinity Voice and Home services, Comcast said in the message. Xfinity voice customers cannot call 911 during that time, according to Comcast.
