'No Boundaries' for Dublin Arts Collective Members Show
The Opening Reception for the 'No Boundaries' Art Show was held on Friday, Nov 4th in Dublin, California
Local artists and supporters of the visual arts gathered at the Frame Company & Art Gallery in Dublin last week for the Opening Reception of the 'No Boundaries' Art Show chaired by artist and Arts Commissioner, Julia Tomtania.
The show features a selection of artworks produced by members of the Dublin Arts Collective, a growing nonprofit supporting primarily the visual arts in the Tri-Valley. The eclectic mix of work attracted an enthusiastic crowd of supporters from the community.

Sharing an appreciation for art brought community members of all ages to the Opening Reception and it was exciting for the artists to engage with guests of different backgrounds and provide unique insights into the artworks. Another popular topic of discussion was the recent groundbreaking for Dublin's Cultural Arts Center. Several newcomers to the art scene in Dublin have work in the 'No Boundaries' show which features paintings in a variety of media including watercolors, acrylics, oils, colored pencils, photography and mixed media. Some provocative artwork on women's rights and feminism are also included in this show and provided interesting conversation starters. The intricate colored pencil work by Ranjini Venkatachari is displayed next to the outstanding photographs by Michele Haubert who made her debut appearance at this art show.

"The 'No Boundaries' DAC members reception and artists turnout was beyond expectation, " said Show Chair Julia Tomtania, " it renewed hope for a thriving art community in Dublin and the surrounding areas. The reception shined light on 30 talented artists in this collaborative gallery show. As Chairperson, I was honored to be able to bring these artists together. Every DAC member that entered the show was accepted, which meant many different mediums, styles and artistic expressions. The many artworks allowed gallery walls to come alive with color and beauty. My hope is that more artists in the area feel welcome, and the idea of a thriving art culture in Dublin grows roots and expands exponentially. I’ve seen the talent first hand, and I know we’ve only scratched the surface of what is possible. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my fellow DAC members, and look forward to the years ahead."
The 'No Boundaries' Art Show is open for viewing through December 20th.
