Postal Service Hiring Event Planned In Dublin
The United States Postal Service will hold a recruiting event Friday, Feb. 21.
DUBLIN, CA — The United States Postal Service's Bay-Valley district will hold a hiring event Friday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Shannon Community Center, 11600 Shannon Ave. in Dublin.
Applicants must be prepared with a photo ID, a valid driver's license with two years driving experience and a Social Security Card or birth certificate. Men must also have a Selective Service registration number. Veterans should bring their DD214 (release/discharge from active duty form) for veterans' preference.
New career hires start with excellent benefits, including coverage by the Federal Employee Retirement System, under which they can contribute to a Thrift Savings Plan, similar to a 401(k) plan, and get a 5 percent matching contribution by the Postal Service.
