Small Business Relief: Dublin Offers Rent Assistance

One hundred small businesses will get one-time grants of $10,000 to help backpay rent.

DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin is accepting applications for its rent relief grant program.

One hundred small businesses that meet the criteria are eligible to receive a one-time grant of $10,000 to go toward rent arrears. Preference will be given to restaurants, retail and personal service businesses such as fitness centers, salons and spas.

Businesses must owe at least $10,000 in rent, be located in Dublin, have a valid business license here and be the master tenant of their lease, according to the city.

Landlords must apply on behalf of commercial tenants through Aug. 8. The city will finish reviewing applications by Aug. 20.

The program is funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
