New Nursery Opens In Dublin After 20 Years As Armstrong Garden Centers

DUBLIN, CA — A SummerWinds Nursery replaced the Armstrong Garden Centers store that served Dublin for two decades.

SummerWinds officially took over July 31 but loyal customers of full-service garden center at 7360 San Ramon Road might not have noticed much of a change, said Store Manager Elizabeth Blackstone. The layout is the same and staff have remained on board, though the store no longer sells fountains and patio furniture, she said.

Customers can look forward to the "same great customer service" and a slightly greater variety of plants and plant vendors, Blackstone said. Plants are guaranteed for life.

SummerWinds currently offers home delivery and curbside pickup, and plans to launch an online order feature in the future, according to the Dublin store's website.

Armstrong Garden Centers, a California company, also recently sold its Novato store to SummerWinds Nursery, the Marin Independent Journal reported. SummerWinds operates additional stores in Arizona, Campbell, Cupertino and Palo Alto.
