UC Master Gardeners Recruiting New Members

This group of UC-trained specialists are looking for local gardeners to help develop the 1.3-acre Pleasanton Educational Garden.

DUBLIN, CA — Spring is in full bloom, and many Dubliners are working on bringing their gardens to multi-colored life. But they may not know that they can also help spread their gardening knowledge through the UC Master Gardeners program, which gives free gardening advice and also works to develop gardens in the community.

The group is currently recruiting more Master Gardeners to help develop the 1.3-acre Pleasanton Educational Garden at 550 Laguna Creek Lane at the Pleasanton Community Park. If you'd like to put your green thumb to good use, consider a training program at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dublin Public Library, as well as a number of other in-person and virtual sessions:

  • April 14: 10 a.m., West Oakland Library
  • April 16: 7 p.m., Zoom
