DUBLIN, CA — Everyone loves The Wave, but sometimes it can be a little overstimulating. Starting in October, The Wave is starting a new Sensory Splash program designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities.

For one Sunday each month from October to April, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., the music in the indoor pool will be turned off, lifeguards will only use whistles in emergencies, and sensory-friendly toys and a designated quiet space will be provided.

The program hopes to help people with special needs enjoy swimming in a calm environment.
