DUBLIN, CA — Dublin leaders gathered Tuesday to break ground on The Whitford of Dublin, a luxury senior living community that will be built on a 5.74-acre site on 5751 Arnold Road.

The Whitford, which is slated to open in fall 2026, will feature 140 living apartments, multiple dining venues, private dining options, an indoor pool, a gym, yoga studio, hair salon, media lounges, a golf simulator, two courtyards, outdoor space, and a dedicated dog park. It will also be minutes away from numerous medical facilities, shops, restaurants, and both I-580 and I-680.

Speakers at the groundbreaking included Dublin Mayor Sherry Hu, Dublin City Councilmembers Michael McCorriston and Jean Josey, CEO Patrick McGonigle and Managing Director Adam Arnold of the developer Harbert South Bay Partners, Momentum Senior Living CEO Josh Johnson, and many more.

“We know this is not just a financial decision, it’s also about quality of life,” Mayor Hu said. “This is something we are looking forward to, the state-of-the-art facility here, providing a high quality of life so seniors can live here and be healthier, happier and thrive.”

“I look forward to working with the city of Dublin and other organizations here,” said Momentum Senior Living CEO Josh Johnson. “We get engrained in the community. We want to, from both a resident and employee perspective, be a partner with the City through all the events and the different organizations. Our goal is to not just have people live longer, but to have people live healthier lives and be vibrant.”
