2 Killed in Glassell Park Drive-by Shooting

Two people were killed Saturday morning in Glassell Park, police said.
The victims were located around 4 a.m. at the intersection of Eagle Rock Boulevard and Verdugo Road, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Station.

CBS2 reported that the two victims were men and were killed in a drive-by shooting as they were sitting in a parked vehicle. A third victim, a female, escaped the vehicle with minor injuries.
"We were coming home… well to my boyfriend’s house and a car pulled up and they shot us," Tiffany Lagunas told CBS2. "The driver, I guess, he’s dead … my boyfriend… um… I don’t know. I think he’s dead too."

CBS2 reported that the actual shooting occurred near the intersection of Future Street and Cypress Avenue and that the SUV and driver was able to travel about a half mile to Eagle Rock Boulevard and Verdugo Road before stopping.
One of the victims was 18, according to the report.
