'Brave Little Girl' Rosie Ready For Adoption After $1,800 Surgery and Care

A five-month-old kitten named Rosie who was rescued and operated upon after she was hit by a car in downtown Los Angeles is ready for adoption from her foster home in Eagle Rock.

"She had surgery to repair her broken pelvis and is still gaining strength walking, but is doing great and using the litter box like a pro," according to an ad posted on Craigslist Wednesday. Rosie is evidently in Eagle Rock, according to the ad, and whoever posted the ad is hoping that some "kitty friend" with a lot of heart will want to adopt the cat.

"She's super loving and cuddly," says the ad of Rosie. "But [she] also really likes to play."

As a YouTube video link in the ad tells it, someone by the name of Keith Crasnick ran the L.A. Marathon specifically to raise funds for Rosie's surgery. The surgery and foster care have cost $1,800 so far, according to the video, which you can viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crcaf5xR1-0

Rosie is spayed, FeLV/FIV neg, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped, according to the Craigslist ad, which can be viewed here: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pet/3806901464.html
