Comments of the Week: 'I Love It! A Multicultural Music Festival!'

We take pride in our work here at Patch and always strive to bring our readers interesting news. However, we must admit, sometimes the most interesting part of a great Patch story is the comments from readers that it sparks.

Folks in Eagle Rock have been divided over the news that the Eagle Rock Music Festival will be downsized this year. Our most recent stories on the festival have comments from both sides on our Facebook page. 

Lizacrunch Crunch Wow.Nice to see he has time for Patch but none of the small business owners who voiced their concerns and were not heard. Im so very happy to know that none of the people who run small businesses here in nela matter, and that the loss of income from the music fest, the damaged & vandalism , and trashed streets doesnt seem to be a concern at all to this dude or the rest of the people who run the fest. No one can say much to me about this because Ive been in nela for nearly 30 yrs & Ive seen the music fest year in year out, and Ive always worked small business here and I always see the scribed tags on my windows and the kids smoking pot in front of toddlers, its a no go for us.

Omar A. Gonzalez I think he addressed the problem when he brought up keeping it a community based festival, and listening to what the community was saying.
I wouldn't blame kids smoking pot in front of toddlers on him either, there was plenty of LAPD and you know they smell it, but they just look the other way. And if I smelled it and had toddlers with me the smart thing to do is walk away, it should be law to pass a IQ test to be a parent.
