Former State Rep Anthony Portantino Launches Public Access TV Show

The show airs statewide on California Channel 101.

Former state Assemblyman Anthony Portantino has launched a public access television show called "The Question Is with Anthony Portantino."

The show is filmed by Charter Communications for statewide airing on the statewide California Channel 101. The first episode, which features interviews on HIV/AIDs and the state's prison realignment, can be viewed online on YouTube.   

Guests on the show include Covina Police Chief Kim Raney, El Monte Councilmember Jay Gomez, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Assistant Sherriff Terri McDonald, Rev. Peter Laarman from Justice Not Jails, and Dominic Correy, a student Chaser at Learning Works School in Pasadena.  

Portantino was state assemblymember from 2006 to 2012, representing La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, Altadena, Eagle Rock, South Pasadena and other local cities.  

He is planning a run for State Senate in 2016 in the 25th State Senate district, which runs across the foothills areas from the Crescenta Valley all the way out to Upland and includes La Cañada, La Crescenta-Montrose, Monrovia, Altadena, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre.
