New Year's ‘Family Countdown’ in Eagle Rock

As the seconds tick down, a bubble machine on Eagle Rock Boulevard will keep time, pointing to 2013.

At noon on New Year’s Eve, a “family countdown” to 2013 will begin at a store on Eagle Rock Boulevard that was so tightly packed during a similar event last year that its owners couldn’t resist repeating it this year.

Traci and David Green, co-owners of The Green Bean, will be serving sparkling apple cider in their store Monday while a bubble machine counts down the time to the New Year and keep kids entertained.

The fun begins at 11 a.m. An children's art project starts around noon. Bring your family and friends and help spread the New Year cheer. (There will be balloons.)
