Reported Gunshots in Eagle Rock Cause LAPD Search
A teenager is seen running after witnesses report an argument on Glen Aylsa Avenue Saturday night, police say.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of gunshots in Eagle Rock late Saturday night and searched for a teenager suspected to be responsible for firing the shots.
Witnesses reported hearing an argument and gunshots before seeing a vehicle of an unknown make speed away from the area around 1577 Glen Aylsa Ave. (between Townsend Avenue and Floristan Avenue, south of Colorado Boulevard), according to LAPD Sgt. Wayne Guillary of the Northeast Community Police Station.
An LAPD gang unit that rushed to the area at 11:06 p.m. requested additional police units after seeing the shooter running away, Guillary said. Guillary described the shooter as 15 years to 19 years old and dressed in a plaid shirt and dark jeans. The shooter also threw a baseball cap of an unknown color as he ran, Guillary said.

Police units, aided by a helicopter, set up a perimeter to look for the shooter but could not find him, Guillary said, adding that the search was subsequently called off.
