SWAT Serves Search Warrant At San Mateo County Home: Police

The search warrant was for an ongoing criminal investigation involving the possible sale or manufacturing of suspected drugs, police said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — The sheriff's office issued a search warrant in East Palo Alto early Tuesday morning for a criminal investigation involving suspected drug sales, police said.

At around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of Wisteria Drive in East Palo Alto.

"The sheriff's office SWAT Team was on the scene to ensure the safety of everyone involved," police said. "We understand a large law enforcement presence may cause concerns, and we want to provide reassurance to the community. No immigration enforcement agency was involved in any way, nor was anyone stopped, detained or questioned about their immigration status."

The search warrant was connected to a criminal investigation conducted by local authorities and there was no danger to the community, police said.
