Beat The Summer Heat With Comic Relief At PAW’s Stand-Up Comedy Camp

Unleash Your Child's Inner Comic Genius At Performing Arts Workshops LOL Stand-Up Comedy Summer Day Camp

Ready to let your kids have the funniest summer ever? From learning joke structure to clever observations about the world through the eyes of kids, a Stand-Up Comedy Camp is designed to teach campers the basics of stand-up comedy for newcomers and seasoned performers alike. The camp combines fun improv games, joke writing workshops, and performance skills to help kids find their comedic voice. Whether your child is already the class clown or just wants to try something new, a Stand-Up Comedy Camp is all about building confidence, creativity, and a sense of humor.

Campers learn how to make people laugh while being mindful of each other’s feelings, which creates a positive environment where humor brings everyone together. It’s not just about making jokes: it’s about learning how to connect with an audience and spread joy. What you can expect from a Stand-Up Comedy Camp:

  • Unlimited Laughter: Kids get to laugh their hearts out while creating hilarious jokes and routines. It’s a joy-filled environment where laughter is the star of the show.
  • Goofiness is Encouraged: It’s one of those rare places where silly faces, goofy voices, and outrageous antics are not just accepted, they’re celebrated!
  • Bonding Through Humor: Sharing funny moments and experiences helps kids make new friends and build connections, all while cracking each other up.
  • Memorable Stories: Children come home with hilarious tales of their stand-up performances and the quirky moments shared at camp.
  • Comedy Show Finale: Camps often include a showcase where kids perform for friends and family. It’s the perfect mix of excitement, nerves, and pride and a blast for everyone involved!

PAW’s Stand-Up Comedy Camp LOL is the place for aspiring young comics to hone their skills and learn the finer points of the comedian’s craft. Camp LOL is designed for novices and experienced performers alike. Students will be guided by skilled, nurturing instructors who will help them build a strong foundation on which to develop their talents. Beginning with voice, speech, and diction, students will be immersed in the fundamentals: improv, joke structure, sketch writing, creating characters, developing an on-stage persona, joke writing, joke delivery and performance. As the week progresses, campers will develop a 3 to 5 minute “SET”. . . which they will perform for friends and family on the final day of camp! There’s more to the comic’s craft than just fun and jokes. The mastery of stand-up comedy offers a number of benefits, including building self-confidence and esteem, critical thinking, developing language and oratory skills, improvisational thinking, making friends and more.
