Early Morning Earthquake Jolts Los Angeles Area
The earthquake was centered in the Silver Lake area. Did you feel it?

SILVER LAKE, CA — A magnitude 2.9 earthquake struck just over half a mile east south east of Silver Lake early Saturday morning, according to the USGS.
The quake hit around 2:16 a.m. Residents in the surrounding area, including in Santa Monica and South Gate, reported feeling the earthquake, according to the USGS' self-reporting "did you feel it" feature.
The earthquake was about 6 kilometers deep, according to the USGS.

Several people reported feeling the quake via social media, including actress Olivia Munn and Reddit co-founded Alexis Ohanian.
