Echo Park Deep Pool Is Best of 2011

Santa Monica College's swimming center has had its day.

Echo Park's Deep Pool finally has gotten some of the love we know it long deserved.

The LA Weekly has named it "Best Adult Swimming Pool for Going Deep - 2011." 

Loosely translated that's because of the special morning and weekend hours reserved there for adult lap swimming and, presumably, lounging.

Of course, the pool is great for families too. Swimming lessons and free swims are all part of the mix.

And, yes, it's a pretty good filming location too.

The pool is part of the , which also runs Echo Park Lake.
