Echo Park/Edendale Home Prices up 58 Percent in November

In Echo Park/Edendale the average price of a home sold in November was up 58.5 percent from October, according to data from real estate group Redfin.

According to Redfin, 11 homes sold in November for an average price of $562,000.

Meantime, the average listing price was only $430,000.

Echo Park was the only place nearby where selling prices were higher than listing prices, which suggests to us--and perhaps others--that Echo Park is hot, hot, hot.

Redfin's Silver Lake data shows 25 homes selling an average price of $500,000, about $92,000 lower than the average asking price.

And in Ivanhoe/Silver Lake, says Redfin, 23 homes sold for an average price of $514,000 in November, compared to an average asking price of $585,000.

But the number of homes sold was up almost 50 percent compared to October.

According to the Redfin data, it seems like right now, Westlake-HiFi-Rampart might also be a place to look.

The average selling price of this 6 homes sold there in November was just $192,000, with a median asking price of $272,000.
