Obviously, we're all for the neighborhood thing.

So we stand at attention when something like the LAist kicks off a series called "Blogger Neighborhood Guides."

The first edition featured Nastassia Johnson, "the city's de facto dessert girl," through her blog Let Me Eat Cake.

Johnson grew up in the area and returns for a favorite food fix.
