Echo Park Will Get a Plant Nursery in Time for Spring

Long-time Silver Lake resident Hi Duk Lee is opening a nursery and garden store, with, of course, Wi-Fi. He'll be sharing the site of Mi Alma Antiques on Echo Park Avenue.

Hi Duk Lee came to the United States when he was 29.

The Korean immigrant worked odd jobs and then finally opened the Olympic Market in Koreatown, which he ran for many years.

He raised three children, and  distinguished himself in the community, winning recognition from lawmakers and the LAPD.
