Foul Odor Causes Illness Outside LAPD School Headquarters
A foul odor is detected outside the Los Angeles School Police Department headquarters.

A noxious odor today near the offices of the Los Angeles School Police Department's headquarters downtown sickened four employees, authorities said.
The problem was reported about 11:30 a.m. on the office side of the complex at 125 N. Beaudry Ave., according to the Los Angeles Unified School District. The odor did not affect students at the nearby Roybal Learning Center, district officials said.
Some offices of the school district building were evacuated and a fire department hazardous materials team was sent to the scene. Investigators did not find anything unusual in the air and those evacuated were allowed to return to work.
No information was available as to the source of the odor, said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Katherine Main.
