Report Neighborhood Problems Via Garcetti 3-1-1

For constituents in Council District 13, which includes much of Echo Park, Silver Lake, and Atwater Village, a new website aims to make reporting community issues more convenient.

Tired of seeing that abandoned couch across the street? Annoyed by a pothole? Noticed fresh graffitti around the corner?

There are a variety of ways to report these community issues to the city and now for constituents who live in Council District 13 there's a new method that aims be more convenient for those who frequently use the web.

Starting this week, Garcetti 3-1-1 expands its capabilities. Initially enacted within Councilman Eric Garcetti's district in April 2010 for mobile devices, the program now includes the option to report community issues via the web.

A new web page allows users to report community issues by pinpointing a location on a map and filling out a brief description. There's an option to upload a photo, too. You can view reports filed by other users and check the status of a request.

“Garcetti 3-1-1 allows Angelenos to submit service requests 24-7 from any computer.  It’s a great supplement to the Garcetti 3-1-1 mobile app,” said Garcetti in a news release.
