More Graffiti Goes Up: Will It Come Down?

A new image appeared overnight at the southeast corner of Echo Park Avenue and Duane Street.

On Saturday, fresh tagging greeted those strolling Echo Park Avenue during the Artwalk.

It left some commenting on the many factions that still compete for their place in Echo Park.

Now, Thursday, there's more tagging, with more symbolism.

The owner of the building--our own Gary Leonard--called the city's, and they say they are on on their way to clean up the mess.

Good thing, since the new vintage shop at 1932 Duane, s, is having its formal opening Saturday from  5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with artwork by Echo Park native Taylor Negron.
