Police Seek Suspect in Possible Battery in Silver Lake's Maltman Hills

Police say they are still seeking a suspect in a possible battery on Bellevue Avenue in Silver Lake Wednesday morning.

The suspect--a man, approximately 25 to 30 years-old--fled west on Bellevue toward Hoover after hitting another man in the face. He was wearing jeans and no shirt and, according to an officer on the scene, had an Afro.

A young man with a bloodied lip and nose stood with officers investigating the incident.

An LAPD helicopter was in the air above the area for approximately 40 minutes.
