Sun Nails fills the bill.  Billing itself as "the ultimate in comfort and relaxation," the family-owned storefront business in Echo Park opened about five months ago after a long stand in Hollywood.

And the staff is polite and eager, offering nail care, facials and waxing at very reasonable prices.

A dynamite manicure-pedicure can be had for $19.95. A traditional European facial is only $35, and a bikini wax costs only $20.

The room is clean and brightly lit. The chairs are comfortable, and the manicurists are chatty.

Plus parking is easy along this still sleepy stretch of Sunset near Benton.

Open seven days a week, Sun Nails fills an important void in this neighborhood that long needed another convenient and reasonable venue for nail and face care.
