Sunset Boulevard Intersection Upgraded With New Safety Features

LOS ANGELES, CA — An intersection at a busy stretch of Sunset Boulevard was recently upgraded with new safety features, according to the office of Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez.

The city-installed upgrades were completed at the junction of Sunset and Vendome Street, the two-lane road next to Los Globos that offers access between Sunset and Silver Lake Boulevard.

The improvements include new asphalt, painted lines on Vendome and bollards at the intersection, according to Soto-Martínez's office.

"The current state of pedestrian safety in LA is unacceptable, and we are working to make our neighborhoods safer regardless of how you get around," the councilman wrote in a newsletter.
