Update: One Broken Arm, Scrapes for Three Girls Hit on Temple Tuesday

The girls were in a crosswalk in the 1400 block of West Temple Street when a driver blinded by the sun hit them.

The three girls brought to the hospital Tuesday morning by Fire Department paramedics have scrapes, bruises and one broken arm, according to an update from LAPD’s Central Traffic Division.

Paramedics brought the girls—aged 5, 10 and 16--to the hospital just after 8 a.m

The crosswalk is not far from in Echo Park.

The girls are apparently sisters, and the eldest was dropping off her two younger siblings at nearby Betty Plasencia Elementary School.

The driver, who remained on the scene, had just dropped off her own child at the school.

KTLA reported that witnesses said that locals have complained that the crosswalk is dangerous and have asked repeatedly for a stoplight.
