2013 Holiday Parade Still Accepting Entries
Typically, the parade features about 100 entries and about 75% of those spots have been taken up so far.

This year’s parade coasts down Highway 101 from D Street to J Street beginning at 5:30 pm. It is preceded by a 5:00 pm tree-lighting ceremony at the Lumberyard.
Awards will be given in several categories and just participating is great fun, says Recreation Supervisor Nick Buck, especially for the younger set.
He states, "We have something like 3,000 children IN the Parade. That means all of those parents, grandparents and friends will be along the route enjoying the show and showing their support. It's a great event and the perfect way to kick off the holidays in Encinitas."
