The Cardiff Schools Education Association's 37th Annual Ice Cream Social brought in more than $60,000 Saturday, event co-chair Michelle Martini-Brown told Patch.
Falling on "May the Fourth," the event—which included music and games at Cardiff Elementary School—was Star Wars themed.

It's a play on the "May the force be with you" line from Star Wars.
In all, more than 2,000 scoops of ice cream were served. Proceeds will benefit schools in the Cardiff School District.
