City Council to Consider Allowing Animal Dentist to Practice in Human Health Care Building
On Dec. 11 the city council will consider a dog and cat speciality dentist's appeal to open a business in an area zoned for human medical needs.

Veterinarian Glenn Brigden, a dog and cat specialty dentist, wants to open a unique pet dentist business in an area zoned for human medical needs. The city's Planning Commission rejected his proposoal so he is asking the Encinitas City Council to weigh in on the matter, reported the U-T San Diego.
The City Council will consider the appeal at its Dec. 11 meeting, he said.
The clinic would see only about 4 animals a day, have no overnight stays, and do proceduces such as teeth cleaned, jaw surgery, and even braces, wrote the U-T.

The article said "Brigden, who now works on animal teeth at the Phoenix Zoo, is proposing to put his clinic at 511 Saxony Place, an office complex just north of the Ecke Sports Park."
