City of Encinitas Holding Grant Workshops
Grants for up to $5,000 each are given to non-profit arts and community organizations to carry out projects and programs that directly benefit the residents of Encinitas.

Applications are available for the City of Encinitas and Mizel Family Foundation Community Grant Program (CGP). Grants for up to $5,000 each are given to non-profit arts and community organizations to carry out projects and programs that directly benefit the residents of Encinitas.
School and library programs, art exhibits, concerts, books for children, yoga for seniors and holiday baskets for families in need are but a few of the many worthwhile community projects that have been funded by the program. The Mizel Family Foundation has made a dollar-for-dollar matching donation, doubling the City funding, since 2007."The donation by the Mizel Family Foundation is truly special and very much appreciated by the City and the organizations and projects that benefit greatly from their generosity," said Encinitas Mayor Teresa Arballo Barth.
The grant program provides funding in two categories: Civic (social, recreation, education, health and the environment) and Arts (visual, performing and literary arts, and arts education). Starting Monday, April 4, applications will be available for download on the Grant page on City website:www.encinitasca.gov/grant. The application document can be saved on the applicant’s computer. Hard copies of the application are available in the lobby of Encinitas City Hall, 505 S. Vulcan Avenue Encinitas, CA 92024. The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm.
