Applications are open on multiple city council appointed commissions in Encinitas. Here is how to get involved.

ENCINITAS, CA — Have you ever imagined yourself servicing on the Commission for the Arts? Or the city Planning Commission? There is no time like the present.

The City of Encinitas is accepting applications for appointments to City Commissions that are expiring in 2023, the council shared in a recent notice.

Commission appointments are open for the Commission for the Arts, the Environmental Commission, the Mobility And Traffic Safety Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning Commission and the Senior Citizen Commission.

Application forms must be completed online from the City’s website.

To apply, you must be a registered voter in the city of Encinitas. Applicants will be selected by the city council members. All commissions currently accepting applications will have term limits of two consecutive appointments. Applicants can only serve on one committee at a time, and any committee member must attend meetings or be terminated from their position after three consecutive absences.
