Arts in the Pines to Showcase Encinitas Artists

The weekend-long festival benefits the nature preserve.

Eight Encinitas artists will be showcased this weekend in the 3rd Annual Art in the Pines, which benefits nature educational programs at the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.

During the weekend-long festival locals can browse dozens of booths featuring paintings, ceramics, sculpture and photography. There will also be food, live music, activites for kids, art demonstrations and plein air artists will compete for $1,500 in prizes. Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of the guided nature walks on the trails overlooking the sea, which are dotted with blooming wildflowers this time of year.

Arts in the Pines will be Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. There will be parking in the north and south beach lots, and a free shuttle service to the event.
