Encinitas Library to Hold Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop

The March 20 workshop will include information on becoming familiar with the dynamics of an abusive relationship, what to do if you or someone you know is being abused, and an interactive activity that shows one woman's steps to freedom.

Building safer communities is a core value of the San Diego County Library and is accomplished by offering related classes and resources to customers across the county. The Encinitas Branch, 540 Cornish Dr, is working to increase awareness and prevention of domestic violence by partnering with the Community Resource Center to offer a Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop at the library on Wednesday, March 20 at 6 p.m.

This workshop will include information on becoming familiar with the dynamics of an abusive relationship, what to do if you or someone you know is being abused, and an interactive activity that shows one woman's steps to freedom. The workshop will be led by the Community Resource Center, a local non-profit social services agency that has been providing valuable services to the community since 1979.
