Encinitas Little League 11-12 Teams Wins Section 6 Title, Will Advance to So Cal Championships

They are among a handful of local all-star teams with a chance of representing Southern California in the Western Regional tournament.

The Encinitas Little League 11-12 year old all-stars followed up their by winning all three of their games in the Section 6 tournament to claim the Section 6 title for the third straight year. 

That win puts Encinitas through to the Subdivision III (State) tournament where they are one of only 10 Southern California all-star teams left with a chance to represent Southern California in the Western Regional tournament.  Encinitas will open play against Highland (San Bernardino County) on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Woodfield Park, 26800 Woodfield Drive, Aliso Viejo.

The Encinitas Little 9-10 all-stars followed up their District 31 title by reaching the championship game of the Section 6 tournament, where they were defeated 2-1 by Allied Gardens, ending a 9-2 all-star season.  Their performance makes the 9-10 team the 2nd best of the 52 leagues that began Section 6 all-star play this season.
