Encinitas Little League to Kick off Season Saturday

Encinitas Little League, which began on a single diamond near Moonlight Beach back in 1957, is set to kick off its’ 56^th season of baseball with Opening Day festivities on Saturday, March 2, at 8:30 a.m. at the Ecke YMCA fields. 

ELL will be celebrating another year with over 440 baseball players, from ages 4-14, including a new Junior Division which has 3 full teams of 13-14 year old players.  In addition to the ceremonies, there will be food, picture day and a home run derby fundraiser, along with afternoon baseball games.  This is a great Encinitas tradition and is expected to be a beautiful day.
