She previously served as vice president of Project Design Consultants from 2005 to 2008 and director of planning and landscape architecture at Robbins Jorgensen Christopher Architects from 1999 to 2005. She earned a master's degree in landscape architecture from the University of Arizona and a bachelor's degree in art education from Bowling Green State University.
